Until August 3rd, when the 8th edition starts, here are some cool things about UNTOLD: In 2015, Cluj-Napoca was designated as the European Youth Capital. It was the first city in Romania to receive this title. It was an incredible context for what was to be the first edition of the UNTOLD festival. Since July 30, 2015, we have added something that put Romania on the world's dance map: an authentic celebration, the first electronic music festival in Romania.

UNTOLD is the first festival in the world to live stream artists' shows in a multicamera 4K Ultra HD HDR (High Dynamic Range) production, with a filming technique of 50 frames per second. A similar output was used 2020 for the live broadcast of the Tokyo Summer Olympics and the Formula 1 championship.

A Japanese tourist rented the most spectacular room in the Radisson Blu hotel. He paid over 10,000 euros for four nights of accommodation and a special service package. The room featured a DJ booth.
The UNTOLD main stage has over 700 square meters of LED screens, 24 meters in height, 95 meters in width, and 30 meters in depth. The DJ booth area covers 396 square meters. The stage weighs over 400 tons, and the roof has a 24-meter opening. Over 900 lighting systems illuminate Cluj-Arena throughout the duration of the festival. The energy used at the main stage comes from renewable sources.
The production aspect is complemented by the artistic component, full of memorable moments: the opening and closing ceremonies. The secondary stages offer a new theme every year. Galaxy, the techno house of the UNTOLD festival, is a stage with dynamic decor thanks to video mapping projections. The decor includes galaxies, energy particles, portals, and space-time tunnels.
